Nigella Lawson but fruitier
Rachel Zadok (pictured above) was today nominated for the prestigious £25,000 Whitbread Book Awards for her first novel Wow Wot Alotatoshe, about an girl growing up under the apartheid regime in South Africa.
The judges unanimously praised Zadok's lithe body, luxuriant ebony hair and cute nose. "This little hottie beats the hell out of Virginia Woolf," enthused one, while another raved, "She's in a class of her own - Nigella Lawson but fruitier!"
