PC Sharon Beshenivsky

Along with all other major organs of the UK press, NMH can report that Paul Beshenivsky was last night in a highly emotional state.

Mr Beshenivsky's high level of emotion and indeed stress is believed to have been caused by the death of his wife PC Sharon Beshenivsky (pictured above), who was shot dead in Bradford on Friday.

Dr Karl Gonadsson, a media psychologist at the University of the BBC, said, "So far Mr Beshenivsky has declined my offer to psychologically examine him, so we cannot be certain what is causing these unpleasant effects. However, we do know that the loss of a loved one can be very painful. Given Mr Beshenivsky's recent bereavement, it is not far-fetched to make a connection between the death of his wife and his current mental condition."

PC Beshenivsky's father, Billy Jagger, is also reported to be in an emotional frame of mind.
